Consensus decision-making, while rarely unanimous, can form the basis of a productive, ongoing relationship between a company and its key stakeholders. They provide stakeholders with a voice (though not a decision-making role) in key decisions and it helps companies avoid things like negative media coverage and potentially costly legal challenges.
